We just picked up the in-wall bracket and articulating arm for the LCD tv. The in-wall bracket will create a low clearance profile and allow the TV to fit as close as possible to the wall when not pulled out for viewing.
The IB40-S Peerless in-wall box and SA730P-S Peerless articulating arm were both purchsed from Ashlin Computer online. After a lot of shopping around we found that they had the best price, customer service and delivery.

All of the plaster, lath and insulation has been removed from the ceiling. We can see the attic from the kitchen. Needless to say, it is a bit cold in the kitchen, it is a good thing we have plastic sheets covering the entry so the rest of the house stays nice and warm. The housings for the recessed lighting have been installed. Ryan has run all of the electrical wire for the new lighting. We have decided not to keep a light fixture in the centre.

Today the plumber re-routed the water lines. We will have our snk in the corner and a dishwasher to the left of the sink under the window. He also removed our old cast iron sewer stack and replaced it with PVC.
This is going to make everything easier when we create a half bathroom in the basement. This is the next project we want to complete once the kitchen is finished.

We started officially renovating our kitchen. After being in our fist house for 5 years we (and by we, I mean my husband) have removed all of the original 1945 cabinets, lath and plaster. This is what the kitchen looked like before the chaos began.
This is the look we are going for. We ordered the Westbrook Ruxton Brown cabinets by Distinctions from Home Depot. The cabinets we purchased are 42" high so the go right to the ceiling. This will give us the additional storage space we so desperately need.
